^ good information ^

The kit I used was not 100% correct. The main bearing piece was not the correct one.

I recently rebuilt my T04b because it was leaking a slight amount of oil out the comperssor side. I ended up getting a rebuild kit from G-popshop.com. You have to ask for the 1pc. carbon seal. Once I got the turbo open, the turbine wheel was all bitched up, so I needed to oreder a new turbine/shaft assembly. G-pop shop sourced one out for me. If you have to replace the turbine/shaft assembly you will have to measure the size of the exducer part of the turbine as there are two sizes, 54mm and 52mm. Mine was the 52mm, The Garrett part number is 905-0006. Afterthat the rebuild is rather easy, I recommend sending the turbo out to be balanced. Here are some pictures...

I have also ditched the old Turbonetics wastegate for a Tial 38mm. However the outlet flange needs to be modified because it hits the flange on the manifold.
I also removed the hole from the downpipe and made the wastegate its own dump tube.
Heres a picture of the car...

From G-popshop.com the part number for the kit is 7-A-3443, be sure to say you need the 1pc carbon seal. Give them a call, very helpfull, they will need your serial number off the compressor housing.
